Research Summary
I'm working on the development of new computational procedures and resources in order to support biological research. This includes the the Structure Function Linkage Database (SFLD). This database links evolutionarily related sequences and structures from mechanistically diverse superfamilies of enzymes to their chemical reactions. With the growing number of structures of proteins and therefore functionally uncharacterized enzymes the need for automated methods for characterization grows bigger. The SFLD is utilized in this process by making well curated data publicly accessible.
